Game of Thrones: The King in the North

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 10 The Winds of Winter

Realizing that Jon has proven his worth by retaking Winterfell, the Northern lords, Knights of the Vale, and wildlings declare Jon the new King in the North, while Sansa sits next to him, she smirks at Littlefinger as his plans fall apart but then frowns with worry as she notices the glare he is giving Jon.

LORD MANDERLY: Lady Mormont speaks harshly and truly. My son died for Robb Stark, the Young Wolf. I didn’t think we’d find another king in my lifetime. I didn’t commit my men to your cause ’cause I didn’t want more Manderlys dying for nothing. But I was wrong. Jon Snow avenged the Red Wedding. He is the White Wolf. The King in the North.
LORD GLOVER: I did not fight beside you on the field and I will regret that until my dying day. A man can only admit when he was wrong and ask forgiveness.
JON: There’s nothing to forgive, my lord.
LORD GLOVER: There will be more fights to come. House Glover will stand behind House Stark as we have for a thousand years. And I will stand behind Jon Snow… the King in the North!
MAN: The King in the North!
ALL: The King in the North! The King in the North! The King in the North! The King in the North!

Game of Thrones: Jon and the Lords of the North

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 10 The Winds of Winter

At Winterfell, Jon gathers the various Northern lords, the knights of the Vale, and the Wildlings to plan for the upcoming invasion by the White Walkers. However, there is discord as the Northerners and knights of the Vale are distrustful of the Wildlings and would prefer to return to their castles to wait out the coming winter. Jon warns them that this winter cannot be endured if they do not stand together to fight the White Walkers. Lyanna Mormont then speaks up, shaming the various Northern lords for standing by and doing nothing when Jon called for their aid.

JON: The free folk, the northerners, and the Knights of the Vale fought bravely, fought together, and we won. My father used to say we find our true friends on the battlefield.
LORD CERWYN: The Boltons are defeated. The war is over. Winter has come. If the maesters are right, it’ll be the coldest one in a thousand years. We should ride home and wait out the coming storms.
JON: The war is not over. And I promise you, friend, the true enemy won’t wait out the storm. He brings the storm.

LADY MORMONT: Your son was butchered at the Red Wedding, Lord Manderly, but you refused the call. You swore allegiance to House Stark, Lord Glover, but in their hour of greatest need, you refused the call. And you, Lord Cerwyn, your father was skinned alive by Ramsay Bolton. Still you refused the call. But House Mormont remembers. The North remembers. We know no king but the King in the North whose name is Stark. I don’t care if he’s a bastard. Ned Stark’s blood runs through his veins. He’s my king from this day until his last day.

It’s implied that the baby is an infant Jon Snow, meaning that he is the son of Lyanna Stark and, possibly, Rhaegar Targaryen.

LYANNA: You have to protect him. Promise me, Ned. Promise me.
(baby crying)
LYANNA: Promise me, Ned. Promise me.
