Game of Thrones: Bran and the Night King

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 05 The Door

Bran decides to observe a vision without the Three-Eyed Raven. Rather than transport himself to the past, Bran remains in the present, and witnesses a massive army of wights led by the Night’s King, who touches him whilst in the vision. Bran awakens to find an icy scar on his wrist where the Night’s King touched him, and the Three-Eyed Raven warns that he must leave, as the Night’s King has marked him and is now able to enter the cave.

BRAN: He saw me, the Night King! He saw me!
THREE-EYED RAVEN: He touched you.
BRAN: I don’t know. He was close, but…
THREE-EYED RAVEN: He touched you. He knows you are here. He’ll come for you.
BRAN: But he can’t get in.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: He can now. His mark is on you. You must leave, all of you.
MEERA: Come on, Hodor. Help me with the sledge.
HODOR: Hodor.
BRAN: I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: The time has come.
BRAN: The time for what?
THREE-EYED RAVEN: For you to become me.
BRAN: But am I ready?
THREE-EYED RAVEN: No.

Game of Thrones: The rise of the White Walkers

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 05 The Door

Bran and the Three-Eyed Raven observe a vision of the Children of The Forest creating the Night’s King by impaling a captured soldier with a dragonglass dagger. Back in the cave, Bran confronts Leaf about creating the White Walkers. She explains that she had no choice, as they were at war with the First Men.

BRAN: It was you. You made the white walkers.
LEAF: We were at war. We were being slaughtered. Our sacred trees cut down. We needed to defend ourselves.
BRAN: From whom?
LEAF: From you. From men.

BRAN: He heard me.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: Maybe. Maybe he heard the wind.
BRAN: He heard me.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: The past is already written. The ink is dry.

Game of Thrones: Ser Arthur Dayne Part 3

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 03 Oathbreaker

Bran is confused as to why Dayne has the upper hand as his father used to recount about how he killed him in the fight when the injured Howland Reed sneaks up behind Dayne and stabs him in the neck, after which Ned finishes him.

BRAN: He’s better than my father.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: Far better.
BRAN: But father beat him.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: Did he?
BRAN: I know he did. Heard the story a thousand times.

ARTHUR DAYNE: Our prince wanted us here.
EDDARD STARK: Where’s my sister?
ARTHUR DAYNE: I wish you good fortune in the wars to come. And now it begins.

Game of Thrones: Bran and the Tree-Eyed Raven

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 02 Home

Beyond the Wall, Bran continues his training with the Three-eyed Raven. He witnesses a vision of a young Eddard, Benjen, and Lyanna Stark training together in Winterfell, and even learns Hodor’s real name: Wylis. However, the Three-eyed Raven pulls Bran out of the memory, warning him that he risks “drowning” in old memories.

BRAN: That’s my father. And my Uncle Benjen. They were all so happy.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: So were you once.
BRAN: My Aunt Lyanna. I’ve seen her statue in the crypt. My father never talked about her. Hodor? Hodor talks?
THREE-EYED RAVEN: It is time to go.
BRAN: Please, a little longer.

BRAN: I wasn’t drowning. I was home.
