Game of Thrones: R + L = J

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 10 The Winds of Winter

It’s implied that the baby is an infant Jon Snow, meaning that he is the son of Lyanna Stark and, possibly, Rhaegar Targaryen.

LYANNA: You have to protect him. Promise me, Ned. Promise me.
(baby crying)
LYANNA: Promise me, Ned. Promise me.

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 10 The Winds of Winter

Inside the Tower of Joy, Bran sees the young Eddard Stark find his sister Lyanna hemorrhaging from childbirth. With her dying breath, Lyanna pleads with Eddard to take care of her son, keeping his secret safe lest Robert kill him.

LYANNA: Ned?
NED: Lyanna.
LYANNA: Is that you? Is that really you? You’re not a dream?
NED: No, I’m not a dream. I’m here. Right here.
LYANNA: I’ve missed you, big brother.
NED: I’ve missed you, too.
LYANNA: I want to be brave.
NED: Shh. You are.
LYANNA: I’m not. I don’t want to die.
NED: You’re not going to die. Get her some water.
LYANNA: No, no water.
NED: Is there a maester?
LYANNA: Listen to me, Ned.
(whispering)
LYANNA: If Robert finds out, he’ll– you know he will.

BRAN: He heard me.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: Maybe. Maybe he heard the wind.
BRAN: He heard me.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: The past is already written. The ink is dry.

Game of Thrones: Ser Arthur Dayne Part 3

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 03 Oathbreaker

Bran is confused as to why Dayne has the upper hand as his father used to recount about how he killed him in the fight when the injured Howland Reed sneaks up behind Dayne and stabs him in the neck, after which Ned finishes him.

BRAN: He’s better than my father.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: Far better.
BRAN: But father beat him.
THREE-EYED RAVEN: Did he?
BRAN: I know he did. Heard the story a thousand times.
