Realizing that Jon has proven his worth by retaking Winterfell, the Northern lords, Knights of the Vale, and wildlings declare Jon the new King in the North, while Sansa sits next to him, she smirks at Littlefinger as his plans fall apart but then frowns with worry as she notices the glare he is giving Jon.

LORD MANDERLY: Lady Mormont speaks harshly and truly. My son died for Robb Stark, the Young Wolf. I didn’t think we’d find another king in my lifetime. I didn’t commit my men to your cause ’cause I didn’t want more Manderlys dying for nothing. But I was wrong. Jon Snow avenged the Red Wedding. He is the White Wolf. The King in the North.
LORD GLOVER: I did not fight beside you on the field and I will regret that until my dying day. A man can only admit when he was wrong and ask forgiveness.
JON: There’s nothing to forgive, my lord.
LORD GLOVER: There will be more fights to come. House Glover will stand behind House Stark as we have for a thousand years. And I will stand behind Jon Snow… the King in the North!

Littlefinger privately meets with Sansa in the godswood. He reveals that his ultimate goal is to sit on the Iron Throne with Sansa at his side. He then tries to kiss Sansa, but she coolly evades his advances and leaves.

LITTLEFINGER: Every time I’m faced with a decision, I close my eyes and see the same picture. Whenever I consider an action, I ask myself will this action help to make this picture a reality? Pull it out of my mind and into the world? And I only act if the answer is yes. A picture of me on the Iron Throne and you by my side.
SANSA: It’s a pretty picture.
LITTLEFINGER: News of this battle will spread quickly through the Seven Kingdoms. I’ve declared for House Stark for all to hear.
SANSA: You’ve declared for other houses before, Lord Baelish. It’s never stopped you from serving yourself.
LITTLEFINGER: The past is gone for good. You can sit here mourning its departure or you can prepare for the future. You, my love, are the future of House Stark. Who should the North rally behind? A trueborn daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark born here at Winterfell or a motherless bastard born in the south?

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 05 The Door

Sansa declines Littlefinger help and orders him to return with his knights to the Vale. As he leaves, he reveals that her great-uncle, Brynden “Blackfish” Tully, has gathered the remainder of the Tully forces and retaken Riverrun.

SANSA: What if I want you to die here and now?
LITTLEFINGER: Then I will die.
SANSA: You freed me from the monsters who murdered my family and you gave me to other monsters who murdered my family. Go back to Moat Cailin. My brother and I will take back the North on our own. I never want to see you again.
LITTLEFINGER: I would do anything to undo what’s been done to you. I know that I can’t. Will you allow me to say one more thing before I go? Your great-uncle Brynden the Blackfish has gathered what remains of the Tully forces and retaken Riverrun. You might consider seeking him out. The time may come when you need an army loyal to you.
SANSA: I have an army.
LITTLEFINGER: Your brother’s army. Half-brother.

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 05 The Door

Sansa and Brienne confront Littlefinger in Mole’s Town, and question him about his decision to marry Sansa to Ramsay Bolton. He explains that he was ignorant of Ramsay’s cruelty and begs for Sansa to forgive him while offering her the support of the Vale in her attempt to retake Winterfell.

LITTLEFINGER: When I heard you had escaped Winterfell, I feared the worst. You have no idea how happy I am to see you unharmed.
SANSA: Unharmed? What are you doing here?
LITTLEFINGER: I rode north with the Knights of the Vale to come to your aid. They’re encamped at Moat Cailin as we speak.
SANSA: To come to my aid? Did you know about Ramsay? If you didn’t know, you’re an idiot. If you did know, you’re my enemy. Would you like to hear about our wedding night? He never hurt my face. He needed my face, the face of Ned Stark’s daughter. But the rest of me, he did what he liked with the rest of me as long as I could still give him an heir. What do you think he did?
LITTLEFINGER: I can’t begin to contemplate…
SANSA: What do you think he did to me?
BRIENNE: Lady Sansa asked you a question.
LITTLEFINGER: He beat you.
SANSA: Yes, he enjoyed that. What else do you think he did?
LITTLEFINGER: Sansa, I…
SANSA: What else?
LITTLEFINGER: Did he cut you?
SANSA: Maybe you did know about Ramsay all along.
LITTLEFINGER: I didn’t know.
SANSA: I thought you knew everyone’s secrets.
LITTLEFINGER: I made a mistake, a horrible mistake. I underestimated a stranger.
SANSA: The other things he did, ladies aren’t supposed to talk about those things, but I imagine brothel keepers talk about them all the time. I can still feel it. I don’t mean in my tender heart it still pains me so. I can still feel what he did in my body standing here right now.
LITTLEFINGER: I’m so sorry.

SANSA: You said you would protect me.
LITTLEFINGER: And I will. You must believe me when I tell you that I will.
SANSA: I don’t believe you anymore. I don’t need you anymore. You can’t protect me. You won’t even be able to protect yourself if I tell Brienne to cut you down. And why shouldn’t I?
LITTLEFINGER: Do you want me to beg for my life? If that’s what you want, I will. Whatever you ask that is in my power, I will do.
