As they prepare to leave Castle Black, Sansa orders Brienne to travel to the Riverlands and recruit her uncle Brynden Tully. Jon, Davos, Sansa, Brienne, Melisandre, Tormund, and Podrick Payne depart Castle Black.

JON: New dress?
SANSA: I made it myself. Do you like it?
JON: Yeah, it’s… I like the wolf bit.
SANSA: Good, because I made this for you. I made it like the one Father used to wear. As near as I can remember.
JON: Thank you, Sansa.
SANSA: You’re welcome.

After execute the mutineers, Jon Snow gives his cloak to Edd, telling him that Castle Black is now his and saying “My watch is ended”, before walking out the gates.

EDD: We should burn the bodies.
JON: You should.
EDD: What do you want me to do with this?
JON: Wear it. Burn it. Whatever you want. You have Castle Black. My watch is ended.

TORMUND: They think you’re some kind of god. The man who returned from the dead.
JON: I’m not a god.
TORMUND: I know that. I saw your pecker. What kind of god would have a pecker that small?

Ser Davos and the Night’s Watch loyalists prepare themselves for battle when Alliser and his allies begin to break down the door. As they are about to break through, the outer walls of the Castle are breached by the giant Wun Wun, followed byTormund and an army of Wildlings, who have returned with Edd. Outnumbered, Alliser and the mutineers are forced to surrender, Edd proclaiming that Thorne and his men are the real traitors, and then proceed to incarcerate Thorne, Olly, and the rest of the mutineers.

SER ALLISER: It’s time, Ser Davos. Open the door and the men inside can rejoin their brothers in peace. We’ll even set the wolf free north of the Wall where it belongs. Nobody needs to die tonight.
SER DAVOS: I’ve never been much of a fighter. Apologies for what you’re about to see.

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 01 The Red Woman

At the Wall, following the murder of Jon Snow, his dire-wolf Ghost begins to howl, attracting the attention of Ser Davos, Edd, and a few other loyalists. They take Ghost and Jon’s body into a store-room, whereupon Melisandre briefly visits and is troubled, as she had experienced a vision in the flames where Jon was fighting at Winterfell. 

EDD: Jon was my friend. And those fuckers butchered him. Now we return the favor.
SER DAVOSWe don’t have the numbers.
EDD: We have a direwolf.
SER DAVOS: It’s not enough. I didn’t know Lord Commander Snow for long, but I have to believe he wouldn’t have wanted his friends to die for nothing.
EDDIf you were planning to see tomorrow, you picked the wrong room. We all die today. I say we do our best to take Thorne with us when we go.
