QYBURN: What are your thoughts concerning the king’s funeral? As the Sept of Baelor is no longer an option, perhaps a ceremony in the throne room?
CERSEI: He should be with his grandfather, his brother, his sister. Burn him and bury his ashes where the sept once stood.

Game of Thrones: The Trial at the Great Sept of Baelor Part 2

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 10 The Winds of Winter

Qyburn lures Pycelle into his chambers, and watches as his little birds stab Pycelle to death. Lancel discovers a massive cache of wildfire stored underneath the Great Sept (placed there by the Mad King decades before), but is stabbed and crippled by one of the little birds.

QYBURN: Please, Grand Maester. I bear you no ill will. Please forgive me if you can. This pains me, my lord. Whatever your faults, you do not deserve to die alone in such a cold, dark place. But sometimes before we can usher in the new, the old must be put to rest.

Game of Thrones: In King’s Landing

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 03 Oathbreaker

Qyburn gives orders to the “little birds” that he has inherited from Varys as Cersei, Jaime, and the re-animated Ser Gregor Clegane arrive. Cersei orders Qyburn to put spies in the North, the Reach, and Dorne.

CERSEI: Don’t stop at the city. I want little birds in Dorne, in Highgarden, in the North. If someone is planning on making our losses their gains, I want to hear it. If someone is laughing at the queen who walked naked through the streets covered in shit, I want to hear. I want to know who they are. I want to know where they are.

Tommen marches into the Sept of the Faith Militant with his Kingsguard, demanding to let Cersei see Myrcella’s tomb. The High Sparrow explains she will be able to once her sins have been atoned for and she has faced trial.

TOMMEN: My mother would like to see her daughter’s final resting place.
HIGH SPARROW: I’m sorry, Your Grace. That’s not possible. Not yet.
TOMMEN: When will it be possible?
HIGH SPARROW: When she’s fully atoned for her sins.
TOMMEN: You cut off her hair and marched her naked through the streets in front of the whole city. That wasn’t the full atonement?!
HIGH SPARROW: No. She must stand trial before seven septons so we can learn the true extent of her sins.
